Before leaving to Langebaa we finally unpacked the kite stuff from the bag to the car - thus the car being too small for the bag. The first kilometres driving on the wrong side of the road were less difficult than expected. We had remarkably clean windows as the triggering of the indicator lead to cleaning the window and the activation of the whiper lead to indicating :-) All in all we spend half the journey driving on the emergency lane to facilitate overtaking maneouvres of our fellow cars. Langebaan and its lagoon were not spectacular but do attract some shark species you risk stepping-on when walking in the shallow water. We were later told that it was common not only to step-onto but to catch it and to surprise your companion whilst holding it into their face. It is worthwhile mentioning that the shark Tina stepped-on was over half a meter long and did surprise herself for the most. All-in-all it seems to be an appropriate place for us to further improve our kiting skills - supported by a Swiss managed kiting station.
